I agree. It's best to be prepared for anything, especially in a new place like this. Mmh, but it's a shame there aren't very many useful monsters to begin with, from what I've seen. I've only been lucky to get my little Mi--eh, my bird from the earlier grasslands. People have said that once they grow and change, they can transport you to areas you've been to prior by flight. And those that can swim and that are large enough may be ridden. Useful traits for people that can't do things for themselves.
