[It's.. a blitzle, poking cautiously with a stick clenched in her teeth. Distinctly. And it's still nighttime, OR said blitzle is somewhere rather dark. It could be Ilex Forest, that place doesn't get too bright even in daytime. She hasn't figured out human speech, so her very quiet activation of the pokegear and query are both quite firmly properly 'pokemon'. There is a deerling jostling for position, but seems to lack the size and weight to shove the blitzle aside.]

I know I'm not allowed to use this but I think I can make the messages go away later on. Does anyone know how to make your trainer happy again after you've made him mad? We've tried a lot of things, and it doesn't work!

[Chihiro is eyed doubtfully by the blitzle, the kirlia likewise studied. Is this even something humans can help with? Well, it can't hurt to try, can it?]

He wanted us to corner and catch a certain pokemon. It wasn't stronger than us but it was a lot faster, and really tricky, and it got away. We'd been following it all day trying to find a way to keep it from escaping. He said if we worked together better it wouldn't have happened and ... and I guess he's right. We're not good at working together yet.

[The kirlia just stares calmly (if too seriously), offering no input...not even doing a greeting, oops. But he's a taciturn thing anyhow.]

I see... That's something you can improve, though, right? With practice... And once you're able to show him that you can work together better, that might be able to make him happier.

[Some pokemon just aren't overtly friendly. But the kirlia also isn't being hostile, so the blitzle doesn't seem to mind it much.]

Yes, absolutely. But that's going to take a lot of time and work, and ... having an upset trainer the whole time is probably not going to be really good.

[Chihiro's eyebrows furrow.] But-- Even if you can't work together completely and perfectly right away, he'll be able to notice you're working on it, right? I think that's really good...

It's nice to have someone to rely on. The herds work that way, but that's watching for danger. The actual fighting if running doesn't work isn't usually done as a group. ... It might just take practice for us.

Right... You won't be able to get it all perfectly right away, even if you might want to. But if you can trust each other, that will always help.

[The small blitzle gives a tremendous sigh for such a little frame, seemingly resigned to not having an instant fix to the problem.]
