[The video clicks on to focus not on Xemnas, but a rather sedate looking kadabra carefully picking burrs out of a blitzle's fur, the ever-present kadabra-spoon held in its teeth. Both have rather new looking and fairly loose black collars studded with small silvery ...studs, and a single bright silver charm a little too distant to make out clearly. Neither seem to mind said collars, possibly because they'd be able to get them off very easily if they wanted to. When Xemnas speaks, likely the one holding the camera, he sounds bemused.]

I have finally seen evolution in this world for myself, but not with one of the pokemon I have had the longest. Is it odd, that the abra I captured not so long ago, evolved so quickly into its next form? Or is this common for wild-caught pokemon? I have high hopes of seeing the second stage of Regret's own evolution soon.

[The blitzle notices the camera first and perks up visibly. Then begins making faces at it, no small fete for a horselike face. Aside from a slow flick of its rather fluffy tail, the kadabra doesn't bother to divert from its goal of burrs.]

Additionally the growlithe that had chosen to accompany me is still present. If anyone is desirous of having a free growlithe, alert me and I will bring it somewhere you can capture it. To the young man I purchased the gastly egg from: it is a remarkable creature, and one I suspect I will keep for some time. You must be very pleased with its parents.

Yeah, no problem. I really don't need more birds.

[No, really, he doesn't.]

Hold on, let me-- [quiet beeping as he goes through his own] Here we go. It's about 5 inches on average, looks like. And... Oh right, Skarmory, that's what it's called.

Sorry, I work at the breeding center, so I see a lot of these things and then I can't for the life of me remember what they're called. Skarmory was the steel-flying type I was talking about, and it looks like it's about five foot seven on average. I can't think of any bigger than that.

Not...by choice. It's more that I seem to just keep getting them.

[He doesn't even know where Atlanta came from.]

It's possible to switch. The last guy I traveled with - he's...

[He's gone now.]

Not around anymore, but he was assigned to be a trainer when he got here. I've heard both have their perks, but I don't think I could hack it as a trainer. [There's a small smile there.] Took me four months to get Cherokee to evolve, after all.

I... One of them did, yeah. One of them I got when...a couple of friends left. And the last one is his son.

[He smiled a little at that.]

Nah. Cherokee and I had a rough start, but it's been better here than back home.

By the way, I didn't get your name. I'm Lee.

[Whether you like it or not, if someone you know leaves you a pokemon it's hard to let them go.

...Over half of his pokemon were previously owned by one little girl in particular.]

That's a good way of putting it, yeah.

[He nods in response to the greeting.]

Good to meet you too, Xemnas.

How long have you been here? Out of curiosity.

Some time in April. I could dig up the exact date, but I don't know it off the top of my head.

Was it late July back where you came from?

[Because it sure as hell wasn't April in zombieland.]

[That gets a brief eyebrow raise. But you know what, he spent months hearing about magical final fantasy land, so he'll roll with it. He's a pretty chill guy.

It's not like there aren't enough people who don't believe him when he tries to explain walkers.]

...Sounds like a cheerful kind of place.

I was just curious because it was fall back where I came from. Couldn't really tell you what month - the way the world was when I left it didn't care much about calendars either, though we still had seasons.

I get the feeling this place is a lot more temperate than I'm used to, too. We had a heat wave back in June that felt just like home, though.

It was just... Bad stuff happened. Everyone had other things on their minds than checking the date.
