[The video clicks on to focus not on Xemnas, but a rather sedate looking kadabra carefully picking burrs out of a blitzle's fur, the ever-present kadabra-spoon held in its teeth. Both have rather new looking and fairly loose black collars studded with small silvery ...studs, and a single bright silver charm a little too distant to make out clearly. Neither seem to mind said collars, possibly because they'd be able to get them off very easily if they wanted to. When Xemnas speaks, likely the one holding the camera, he sounds bemused.]
I have finally seen evolution in this world for myself, but not with one of the pokemon I have had the longest. Is it odd, that the abra I captured not so long ago, evolved so quickly into its next form? Or is this common for wild-caught pokemon? I have high hopes of seeing the second stage of Regret's own evolution soon.
[The blitzle notices the camera first and perks up visibly. Then begins making faces at it, no small fete for a horselike face. Aside from a slow flick of its rather fluffy tail, the kadabra doesn't bother to divert from its goal of burrs.]
Additionally the growlithe that had chosen to accompany me is still present. If anyone is desirous of having a free growlithe, alert me and I will bring it somewhere you can capture it. To the young man I purchased the gastly egg from: it is a remarkable creature, and one I suspect I will keep for some time. You must be very pleased with its parents.

It should serve you well for being a breeder as well, in keeping track of who is what's offspring and what skills they may be hatched with. I imagine breeding will likewise require a lot of paperwork. Likewise assisting the nurses. Anything you can do yourself is a good thing.
[He is not getting a job. He will find other ways. He's just too used to being the one giving out the orders to comply with taking them from someone probably younger than him and not as experienced at simply living. ... Iiiit's probably better this way.]
Oh yes. Gyarados are very impressive creatures. I have heard disparaging remarks due to their vulnerability to electricity but one has to say something positive for giant sea serpents. They are the sequoias of the pokemon world, I suppose. Something so large and powerful, from something so small.

Date: 2013-09-02 06:57 pm (UTC)It must be all Pokemon's achilles heel. Their type weaknesses put them at a disadvantage no matter how strong they believe they are. Though I've heard Dragon-type Pokemon are the most resilient. I'm looking into it, personally. Since if what I've heard is true, it would prove to be quite useful to me in the future! I also must look into those special moves I've heard about, that help when traveling in this world..
[ there's a little sigh, the sound of papers shuffling can be heard - but not seen. ]
I suppose I should be on my way out of Violet City soon, where have you arrived to now?
Date: 2013-09-02 09:00 pm (UTC)Incidentally an evolved growlithe is the size of a horse.
[That's a lot of dog.]
I am somewhat north of Goldenrod City, but I will be returning to the vicinity of Violet City very soon. I have deliveries to make.
( video )
Date: 2013-09-03 11:46 pm (UTC)I see. Would you prefer it if I stayed in Violet City until your arrival? Once we've made our exchange, I can begin my travels on the road again.

Date: 2013-09-05 12:54 am (UTC)If it suits you better. There are inns in the city, as opposed to leaving and sleeping on the side of the road.

Date: 2013-09-05 01:25 am (UTC)then again, she realizes it would probably make her look abnormal now that someone actually mentioned it, so she considers staying at the inn from now on. ]
I see, I will await your arrival then. Remember to stay safe! And take care of yourself.
[ look before crossing the road, xemnas!! ]

Date: 2013-09-05 01:35 am (UTC)... Xemnas is not one of them. He preferred blankets, and mattresses, and a distinct lack of small joltik crawling around on him while he slept. At her tone, which strikes him as oddly motherly for someone likely younger than him, there's a faint smile.]
... Very well, I will endeavor to stay safe. I will see you soon.
[More or less soon. In a handful of days soon . That's soon enough for most people.]
